Chinese Bridal Apparel

A bridal dress or a wedding gown is the clothing that bride wears on her wedding day.

Chinese Bridal women clothing have gained reputation throughout the world due to their antique,captivating and artistic embroidery this brings a lot of business to the Chinese fashion clothing manufacturers.

Red color has a great importance in Chinese culture it is the most excessively used color in their bridal wear.Red symbolizes love,affection and peace.People of china believes that red color brings luck and gives strength to them.Traditional Chinese wedding attire includes Qun Gua or Kwa,Chengasm and Qi pao.

It is believed that many traditional dresses are inherited from the Qing Dynasty of China that was the last dynasty in China.Chengasm and Qun Gua which is commonly known as Kwa are two piece dresses which have auspicious dragon and phoenix design on them typically made from the thread of gold and silver.Qi pao is a one piece frock usually worn by the young Chinese brides.It is a combination of modern touch with Chinese motifs,bead-work and embroidery.

Sometimes brides also wear their traditional head crown which is known with the name of  Phoenix crown.In olden times it was traditionally worn by the noble women of Ming Dynasty and Tang Dynasty on their official occasions,but now it is the cultural part of their wedding.A crown is embellished with gold  dragon,pheasants,pearls and gemstones.Long beaded tassels are attached to the either sides of the crown.It is delicate and weighs about 2 to 3 kilograms.
